An internal vaginal thread treatment places dissolvable PDO threads (polydioxanone, a suture material) in the vaginal wall with the aim of prompting collagen and improving tone as the tissue responds. It is marketed in some clinics abroad for laxity after childbirth or with menopause. At Club 116 in Manhattan it is under evaluation and not yet offered.
The evidence is limited to small case series and there are no controlled studies. PDO threads are FDA cleared as sutures, not for this use, so it would be an off label procedure in mucosal tissue that heals differently from skin.
