What an External Intimate Thread Lift Is Claimed to Do.
An external intimate thread lift places dissolvable PDO threads (polydioxanone, a suture material) in the external intimate tissue with the aim of tightening and lifting it as the threads prompt collagen. It is marketed elsewhere for laxity after childbirth or with age. At Club 116 in Manhattan it is under evaluation and not yet offered.
The evidence is limited to small case series. PDO threads are FDA cleared as sutures, not for this use, so it would be an off label procedure in tissue that is sensitive and heals differently from the face. That combination is why it sits on the evaluation list rather than the menu. A treatment joins the menu only after the doctor has reviewed the evidence and its US regulatory status, and the team has been trained.
