Hydrating and Sensitive Skin Facial Before and After. What It Can Look Like.
One case, labeled the way the work is priced: the treatment, the count or the sessions, and how long after. This one is judged at eight weeks, photographed in the same light and at the same distance, with no retouching.

Every caseWhat a Facial for Sensitive Skin Should and Should Not Include.
The hydrating and sensitive skin facial is a sixty minute clinician led facial for reactive, dry or dehydrated skin. It uses a cream cleanse, an enzyme rather than acid exfoliation, a cool globe massage to reduce redness, a hyaluronic acid and ceramide mask, and a soothing LED step. At Club 116 in Manhattan it costs from $195 and has no downtime.
Sensitive skin usually means a weakened barrier, the outer layer of lipids and cells that holds water in and keeps irritants out. When it is thin or damaged, the skin loses water, stings on contact with ordinary products, and flushes at heat, wind or wine. Most facials make this worse, because acids, steam and fragrance all challenge the barrier. This one rebuilds it. Enzymes lift dead cells without the sting of an acid. Cool globes, chilled glass tools rolled over the skin, bring redness down. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the skin; ceramides are the lipids that lock it there. Red LED calms. Everything used is chosen for reactive skin, and nothing is left on that could sting later.
Who it is for
Rosacea prone, eczema prone or simply reactive skin; skin dehydrated by flights, winter heating and Manhattan air conditioning; skin that is recovering from a treatment done elsewhere; and anyone whose last facial left them red for two days. It is also the facial we suggest when someone is not sure how their skin will react to anything.
Why do it here
A clinician reads your skin under proper light before choosing the facial and asks what has reacted before, so nothing on your face is a guess. Nobody works on commission, so nobody is paid to add a peel. If a cheaper option, or simply a change to what you use at home, would do more for your skin, you hear it first.
Before, During and After.
A short read of your skin under proper light, a list of what has stung, flushed or flared in the past, any medicines, and what you use at home. Sensitive skin is often over treated at home as well as in clinic, so this conversation matters. If the signature facial would suit you better, we say so before we start.
A cream cleanse, no foaming and no scrubbing. The enzyme exfoliant sits for a few minutes and is removed with cool water. The clinician then rolls chilled globes across the face and neck, slowly, which brings redness down and moves fluid out. The hyaluronic and ceramide mask goes on while the LED panel runs on a calming red setting. A barrier cream and mineral sunscreen finish it. Nobody rushes the last ten minutes.
Calmer, plumper skin within the hour, and less redness than you walked in with. Makeup can go on straight away, though the skin usually looks better without it.
The plumpness holds for about a week. Regular visits, roughly monthly, reduce how reactive the skin is over time, because a barrier that is rebuilt and left alone gets stronger. The clinician notes what your skin tolerated so the next visit builds on it.

Downtime and aftercare
None. Keep the rest of the day simple: mineral sunscreen, no acids or retinol that night, no sauna or hard training until tomorrow, and nothing new on the skin for a few days. If your home routine is part of the problem, the clinician writes down what to stop.
Not for you if
You have an active cold sore, open lesions or a skin infection, a sunburn, or you have used isotretinoin (a prescription acne medicine that thins the skin) in the last six months. This facial has no acids, so it is generally suitable in pregnancy; tell us and we confirm each product.

Facial for Sensitive Skin in NYC: Questions People Ask First.
How much does a hydrating facial for sensitive skin cost in NYC?
At Club 116 on Central Park South the hydrating and sensitive skin facial is $195 for sixty minutes, and members pay $155. No consultation fee, no deposit to book, and the price is published.
How often should I have a facial if my skin is sensitive?
Monthly, once your skin has shown it tolerates the first one. Sensitive skin does better with fewer, gentler treatments than with frequent stronger ones. Start with one and decide the rest after you see how your skin settles over the following week.
Is this facial safe for rosacea prone skin?
It is designed for skin that flushes easily: no acids, no steam, no fragrance, and cool globes to bring redness down. A facial does not treat rosacea, which is a medical condition, but it can leave rosacea prone skin calmer and better hydrated. If your redness needs a doctor, the clinician says so and the doctor can see you.
Can I have a facial while pregnant?
This one is usually the right choice, because it uses no acids or heat. Tell the clinician you are pregnant and each product is confirmed before it goes on.
What is the difference between dry skin and dehydrated skin?
Dry skin lacks oil; dehydrated skin lacks water, and even oily skin can be dehydrated. This facial addresses both: ceramides for the lipid barrier, hyaluronic acid for water. The clinician can tell which you have under proper light, and it changes what you should use at home.
Can I combine it with something else?
Sometimes. LED is already included. Anything with acid, heat or needles is left for another day, because the point of this facial is to give the barrier a rest. Once the skin is calmer, the clinician can suggest what fits next, if anything.
