From $20040 minNo downtime
IV hydration is a liter of fluids and electrolytes placed straight into a vein, which rehydrates you faster than drinking because it skips the gut. At Club 116 on Central Park South in NYC a clinician screens you first, the drip takes about forty minutes, and it is booked most the day after a flight, a race or a long night. $200, members $160.

What an IV Hydration Drip Is, and What It Is Not.
An IV hydration drip is a liter of sterile saline with balanced electrolytes (sodium, potassium and the other salts your body runs on), delivered through a small cannula in the arm and supervised by a clinician. It is a comfort and recovery service, not a medical treatment. At Club 116 in Manhattan it costs $200 and takes about forty minutes.
When you drink water it has to pass through the stomach and gut before it reaches the bloodstream, and a queasy or exhausted gut absorbs it slowly. A drip puts the fluid directly into circulation, so most people feel the difference within the hour. That is the whole mechanism. It does not treat whatever caused the dehydration, and it does not add anything that a normal day of eating and drinking would not. It is for the days when eating and drinking are not doing it fast enough.
Who it is for
Jet lag after a long haul flight. The morning after a race or a long, hot day outside. The tail end of a stomach bug, once a doctor has cleared it. The Monday when a meeting is not optional and you feel like cardboard. Most people who book it are busy Manhattan adults who want to feel human again by lunch, not people who are unwell.
Why do it here
A doctor prescribes every drip and a licensed clinician places and supervises it. Screening comes first, and if the doctor thinks a symptom needs proper treatment rather than a drip, they say so. There is no consultation fee, so being told no costs you nothing. IV formulas come from accredited compounding pharmacies. The price is published, the room is private, and we are three minutes from the 57th Street subway.
Before, During and After.
A short screening and a set of vitals: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and a few questions about your heart, your kidneys, allergies, medicines and whether you might be pregnant. The doctor prescribes the formula for the day you are having, not the name on the menu. Plain hydration stays plain unless there is a reason to add something.
A small cannula goes into a vein in the arm, about the same pinch as a blood test. Then you sit in a reclining chair with a blanket and your phone while the liter runs through over thirty to forty minutes. Most people fall asleep. A clinician checks on you throughout.
Nothing to recover from. A small dressing over the cannula site is all that shows, and it comes off within the hour. Drink normally, eat something, and carry on with your day.
Hydration is felt within the hour, often before you leave. How long it lasts depends on what you do next, exactly as it would with water. A drip is not a substitute for treating whatever caused the dehydration in the first place.

Downtime and aftercare
None. Occasionally there is a small bruise where the cannula went in, and it fades within a few days. If the arm becomes red, warm or painful afterwards, which is rare, call us the same day. Eat before or soon after the drip, because fluids do not replace food.
Not for you if
You have kidney disease or heart failure, because extra fluid volume is a real risk with either. You have a G6PD deficiency (an inherited enzyme condition) and the formula includes high dose vitamin C. You have a known allergy to any component. You are pregnant or might be, unless your obstetrician knows you are here. The screening asks all of this before anything is placed.

Members pay $160, 20% off list, and the first signature facial is included when you join. Members who travel a lot tend to book this around landing days.

IV Hydration in NYC: Questions People Ask First.
How much does IV hydration cost in NYC?
At Club 116 on Central Park South a hydration IV is $200, and members pay $160. The price covers the screening, the cannula, the liter of fluids and electrolytes and about forty minutes in a private room. There is no consultation fee and no deposit to book.
How long does an IV drip take, and how often can I have one?
About forty minutes in the chair, plus a few minutes of screening at the start. Most people book around travel, a race or a hard week rather than on a schedule. Weekly is the sensible ceiling, and the doctor sets the limit for you if you want it more often than that.
Who should not have an IV drip?
Anyone with a heart or kidney condition, because extra fluid can strain both, and anyone who is pregnant or might be, unless their obstetrician knows. A known allergy to a component or a G6PD deficiency also rules some formulas out. Tell us before you book, and the screening double checks on the day.
Is a doctor involved, or is it just a bag on a stand?
A doctor prescribes every drip and signs off the formula, and a licensed clinician places and supervises it. If the doctor thinks your symptoms need treatment rather than fluids, they tell you. Formulas come from accredited compounding pharmacies, and a doctor is in the practice while you are in the chair.
Is an IV drip better than drinking water?
It is faster, because it skips the gut. On an ordinary day, water and food do the job and you do not need a drip. It earns its place when your gut is slow, you are badly behind, or you need to feel better in an hour rather than by tomorrow. It is not a treatment for any illness.
Where do I go, and can I come before work?
116 Central Park South, Suite 3, in Midtown Manhattan, three minutes from the N, Q, R and W at 57th Street. We open at 8am, Monday to Saturday, so a drip at eight has you at your desk by nine. Sundays are by arrangement.
